Glebelands Farm Tour/Study Visit – Irrigation, water management and composting

Glebelands Market Garden is a 10 acre organic site near Cardigan, West Wales where they grow onsite and run a farm shop, which is open to the public.

For fruit, veg and salad growers, irrigation and water management is high on the agenda following a summer of soaring temperatures and hosepipe bans. Growers are now fully aware that water management will be an essential part of an overall future farm plan. Composting is beneficial because it provides growers with a supply of soil improver and it retains water thus reducing overall costs and aiding self-sufficiency.

Join us on a visit to Glebelands Market Garden in Cardigan to learn first hand about irrigation/water use and composting whilst taking a guided tour of the garden with Adam York and Lesley Bryson, site owners.

This tour will give you the opportunity to discuss any issues you may be facing and is an excellent chance to ask questions, share your stories and pick up some helpful tips and tricks to take back to your own growing enterprise.

This study visit is funded by Tyfu Cymru, lunch will be provided, but please provide your own transport.
